Give your truck the big-block torque it deserves. With 451 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque, the BluePrint Engines BP49613CTC is built to deliver hard-hitting low-end performance and strong throttle response right where truck owners want it. The high-torque hydraulic roller cam helps put that power to work down low, while the 8.7:1 compression ratio keeps things practical with the ability to run on 87-octane fuel. A forged rotating assembly and aluminum cylinder heads provide the strength and durability to back it all up, giving you a powerful, street-friendly big block that’s ready to work, cruise, and enjoy.

Notes:
- BPE recommends electric fans that produce 3000 cfm or more, for engines that are 400cid or less. Engines that are over 400cid BPE recommends 4000cfm or more.
- The initial advance should be set at 13-16 degree BTDC. The total advance should be NO MORE than 34 degrees BTDC and should be reached by about 4000 RPM. Failure to follow these guidelines can cause detonation damage and will void the warranty.
- Your engine requires pre-lubing before startup. Your engine has been dyno tested, but it does require additional preventative maintenance before initial startup. Fill oil filter and oil pan to recommended capacity.Remove spark plugs and proceed to crank engine over with starter until oil pressure is visible on manual gauge.Reinstall spark plugs and proceed with initial startup. It is critical that you read and follow the installation instructions in the installation guide.
- Not for use in pollution-controlled vehicles.
- BluePrint Engines recommends using a distributor with melonized iron or steel gear ONLY on this engine. Do not use bronze, or unmelonized cast iron distributor gears. Using the wrong distributor gear can cause severe damage to the engine, and void warranty. If you are uncertain of your gear compatibility, contact your distributor manufacturer.
