Recaro has gone through some ownership changes in recent years, leading to supply chain problems and more.
In 2025 we were unable to order any Recaro seats due to issues such as this.
In 2026, we have found out Recaro N.A. (North America) has rebranded to Performance Seats DBA "kinetic". The Kinetic brand name is the continuation/rebrand of the Recaro seats we all knew and loved. They are going to be under different names, of course. As of this post there is only 1 seat becoming available soon, which is a 1 piece "race" seat. I say "race" because it is not FIA approved. There should be an FIA version coming eventually. Pricing on the current seat called the APEX XL is claimed to retail for $995. I should mention they are made in the USA entirely, using the same kind of materials the Recaro seats were made from (recycled carbon fiber aka RCF).
As far as the reclining seats you want for your Pro-Touring muscle car, well those will be coming later, likely end of 2027. That's a long time to wait, but we are hoping they will be great quality and price.
