The cam retainer plate on LS & Gen V LT engines is often overlooked, but can pose an oil pressure issue if not replaced with age or mileage. The thin seal can eventually not seal any longer, causing oil pressure to seep past it. So, we always recommend replacing it when changing your camshaft as cheap insurance.
This is a kit, which includes a new GM cam retainer plate, along with 4 new bolts with thread locker applied to them.
These are a replacement for Gen 3 LS engines which did not utilize flat head bolts.
Fits all Gen 3/4/5 LS/LT engines.
Be sure to clean out your factory threads before installing the new ones.
